District Heating with Woody Biomass

In July, 2008 Dr. Morris Pierce and a Biomass Specialist from the MA DCR did a presentation at GCC Downtown introducing the concepts of district energy with combined heat and power while discussing the option of doing it with local wood chips. They were joined on camera by Norman Welch, the Facilities Manager at Cooley Dickinson Hospital, speaking about how their new biomass co-gen plant works for them. The program also features interviews with Lynn Benander from Co-op Power and Bruce Spencer, a local forester. The program goes 90 minutes.
